Woodwork Planner ("we", "us") runs woodworkplanner.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Calculator inputs and saved projects stay in your own browser (local storage). We do not receive them.
- Usage data via Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (country/city), referral source. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.
- Advertising data (only if you allow it): Google may use cookies and device identifiers to measure and personalise ads.
- Contact data you send us by email.
Third parties
- Google LLC (Analytics, and in future AdSense advertising). See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Amazon Associates: when you click an Amazon link, Amazon sets its own cookies to credit the referral. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Microsoft Bing and Google Search Console receive no personal data from you; they only help us see how the site appears in search.
Advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Legal basis and consent
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics or advertising cookies are used. We store your choice, the date and the version of the notice you saw in your browser. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and you can opt out at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) you may request access, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Retention
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it or change it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
